I don't wanna...

I don't wanna put my baby girl on seizure meds. Especially the medication that we were told would be best for her.

Ashley and I spent some time at Children's Hospital yesterday. We went over the results of her EEG and it wasn't good. In fact it was worse than we'd thought, indicating that there is damage beyond her original stroke. They want to do an MRI on her again. We are also looking at spending a night there and having her hooked up to the EEG for the entire night to monitor her seizure activity. Her EEG shows that she's seizing at night.

So...you can guess how badly I feel about feeling frustrated with her for the past few months as I tried to get her up in the mornings. It wasn't her fault.

We're seeing the head of Neurology, Dr. Nigel Bamford (Yes, he's British) on Tuesday. I'm not filling that prescription until I talk with him.

Keppra anyone?

    I don't know much about Keppra but I will ask around. My two seizure-prone loved ones take Tegretol.

Wheeeeeeee!

Today I was awakened to the not-so-delightful sounds of enormous dump trucks, (you know the ones that are a dump truck and they haul a trailer behind?) dumping truck load after truck load of dirt behind my house. Then the most incredibly noisey and squeaky (do they not grease the tracks on those things??) grader began shoving the dirt and rocks around. I had to fight the urge to throw a can of WD40 over the fence to the driver. It wasn't even eight in the morning. It wasn't even 7:30 yet. So I reluctantly arose from my bed and cleaned up the kitchen. After it was spotless, I went back upstairs to my freeze-zone (the only room in the house with AC) to do some online banking and make calls to check on medical bills, etc. As I was finishing up, in walks my husband! At first I had a moment of Oh-no-he's-lost-his-job terror. Then it passed after he smiled. Seems they ran out of work for the day. Odd, but then that's Boeing. People are rude

I'm whining today. I think I have the right. My friend's mom sells Cookie Lee Jewelry and I agreed to host a party for her at my home tonight. I sent out about twenty invitations via the mail and I only had two people call me to say they couldn't come. Two. Two kind people called to let me know they would not be able to make it. The rest ignored the invitation. I cleaned my house, I made two apple crisps. This afternoon I called everyone I sent invitations to. I know people are busy. I get that. it's not that I'm not busy either. I'm just...disappointed in people. I feel let down. Silly of me, huh? But I do. Good thing I have apple crisp and vanilla ice cream for my family tonight. On a positive note, I went to the pool this morning and had a nice workout.
